Summer Vacation in the Mountains.

"How I spent my summer vacation": Living it up in Crested Butte, Colorado!

Normally I'm a 'fun in the sun, must have a beach with crystal clear water, and warm sand between my toes' kind of gal, but I had been convinced that a trip to the mountains of Colorado would be amazing. I'm going to be honest, I was not expecting to have as good a time as I did. I mean, mountains? Really? But after 6 days, my mind was changed. The scenery is breathtaking. Everywhere you looked, the landscape looked like it had come straight out of a postcard. I was blown away. After living in the flatlands of Houston for the last 10+ years, I have been complacent about landscapes. And don't even get me started on the weather. Getting away from 100+ degree heat was heaven, literally heaven.

So I don't have too many pictures of the landscape. I kept my DSLR camera on standby most of the time, instead opting for my little Sony P&S. I only busted out my Nikon to take pictures of THE MOST ADORABLE little town ever. Ever. Crested Butte is my ideal town. I'm a huge fan of "The Gilmore Girls" and this town reminded me so much of that show. From cute little shops and restaurants lining the main street, to all the bikes that dominated the roads, this town had it going.

I have just a couple of pictures to share from my DSLR. I have more pictures that will slowly get uploaded in the next couple of posts.
